What is Kid-a-Palooza, anyway?
Well, it’s kind of like Adventure Week (VBS), but with so much more. This year instead of having Adventure Week, Music Camp and Backyard Bible Clubs separately, our ministries are combining these formerly separate events into one giant event, Kid-a-Papalooza! We’re bringing the islands to Springdale, so watch out for some great fun!
We’ll start with two family festivals on the weekend of June 7-8. On Saturday night we’ll be at Murphy Park from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. with music, food, balloon designs, demos of the week to come, and lots of fun. This is where we’re trying to pull in the kids from the community. We want everyone to know how great life can be with Jesus in it. We’ll repeat the festival at Tyson Park at the same time on Sunday night. We need our church family to volunteer and come out on one of these nights and help us reach out to those around us. You’ll have a great time in the process!
On Monday – Thursday mornings, from 9:00 to 12:00 noon we’ll meet over by Kidz Inc. Kids who have completed K – 2nd grade will be in one large group and kids who have completed 3rd -5th in the other. They each will meet in the Worship Center for songs, games, Bible stories and a tropical experience they are sure to love, have a small group discussion time, and enjoy really great activities that they will pick according to their interests.
As you register your child, please choose which Activity Track they would like to participate in for the entire week: Sports, Music, Art, Crafts. Your child will be placed in their small group “team” according to the activity they have chosen. Each child is allowed to request one friend (who has chosen the same activity) to be in their small group. We are planning so many fun things to do we can’t wait to share it with you!
